Smart Clock Setup

1) Assembling the product

  • Once you have unboxed and opened your product, insert the LCD display screen into the device. Make sure it’s facing towards the circular button on the device's base. It must be facing away from the USB-C port which is at the back.
  • Insert the protective glass casing tube over the LCD screen. You may need to adjust it carefully, so it lines up flush and fits perfectly.

2) Powering on

  • Connect the included USB-C cable to the port in the back of device and plug the other end into a power source, such as a USB outlet, computer/laptop or power brick.
  • The device's screen will then light up and say “Connecting to Wi-Fi”.
  • It will then show you how to connect to your Wi-Fi settings on the screen.

3) Connecting the Gadget to Wi-Fi

  • On your phone/computer device, open the Wi-Fi settings and select the device's new Wi-Fi network called “Smart Weather Clock”.
  • You will then be taken to a browser page which has the device's settings, customization options and different modes.
  • If you lose this page when connecting the device again or it doesn't initially appear, simply go on an internet browser and enter the device's IP address (192…..) and you will find the page again. The IP address will be displayed on the device's screen.
  • Select your Wi-Fi network’s SSID (Name) and enter your Wi-Fi Password for the device to connect to it. Press “Connect” once this is done.
  • The device's screen will then load and say connecting to Wi-Fi. When the connection is successful, the first clock screen mode will display on the device. Your Smart Clock Desktop Gadget has now been successfully configured!

4) Customizing the Display:

  • Switch Display Modes: Cycle through different modes (Classic clock, Digital clock, Gallery slideshow, Analog style clock, Bitcoin price tracker and Digital Rain mode) using the touch control on the base of the clock to select your preferred mode.
  • Adjust Brightness: Set the screen brightness level to suit your environment using the device's web page, you can also change the brightness of the LED lights.

5) Uploading images for the Gallery Slideshow:

  • Access the Image Upload Feature: Navigate to the gallery slideshow feature through the clock’s menu.
  • Upload Images: Upload up to five images via the web page of the device's IP address web page. Make sure you use a 1:1 image size, so they display correctly on the device's screen. These images will rotate on the display, creating a personalised slideshow.
  • On the web page go to: Enter Photo Setting. You now upload and chose different files from your mobile phone device or computer. The checkbox shows whether they will display on the device's screen or not.
  • Adjust Image Settings: Customize the slideshow duration that each image is displayed. You can select the transition time from 3 - 60 seconds max.

6) Maintenance and Care:

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the glass tube and display with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or water.
  • Software Updates: Check for updates through the web page menu to ensure your clock's software is up to date.

7) Troubleshooting:

  • Connectivity Issues: Restart the device and reconnect if the clock fails to connect to Wi-Fi. Ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal. Do this by going on the device's web page and selecting “System Restart” at the bottom. You can also do this manually by unplugging the device.
  • Display Problems: If the display isn’t working correctly, check brightness settings, restart the device and ensure it is secured in the port correctly.

The Six different Clock Modes

1) Classic Clock Mode: This displays the time (Hours/Minutes/Seconds), date, weather, city, wind speed, min and max temperature, and the device's IP address. You can also add a custom GIF or use one the pre-set ones at the bottom right of this screen mode. Default GIFs include: Spaceman, Bird, Totoro and Hutao.

2) Digital Clock Mode: This mode is a simplified clock version. It displays the time in hours and minutes, as well as the date and day of the week.

3) Gallery Slideshow Mode: This mode displays 5 default pre-set images; however, you can customize and change them to whichever ones you want.

4) Analog Clock Mode: This mode shows the time in an analogue clock style. It is better suited for simplicity. Please note: In all clock modes, you can change the colour of the hours, minutes and seconds (Both clock hands or numbers).

5) Bitcoin Price Tracker: This mode shows the real time price of Bitcoin (BTC) in both dollars (USD) and euros (EUR).

6) Digital Rain Mode: This mode has a matrix-style digital rain effect on it. You can customize the colour of the rain on the web page of the device's IP.

  • Manually change the clock mode on the web page instead of pressing the clock button.
  • Add GIFs to the classic clock mode.
  • Select the temperature in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
  • Chose 12 or 24-hour clock.
  • Enable or disable mile display.
  • Sync phone/PC time.
  • Change date format to: MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY/MM/DD.
  • Enable or disable key feedback sound on the device.
  • Add your current city in the city settings.
  • Change the five pre-set images on the slideshow feature by uploading them manually. (Make sure you use a 1:1 image size)
  • Change the device's screen brightness.
  • Alarm clock mode, you can enable or disable the alarm clock and set one alarm.
  • Change clock colours
  • Choose the start and finish time for night mode.
  • Change the brightness of the screen and LEDs during night mode.
  • Change the LED colours and effect mode.
  • Change the Digital Rain mode colour.
